About The Position
The Ready Mix Driver is responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites. This includes loading, transporting, and efficiently discharging concrete while maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and customers.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement required
- Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to pass a DOT physical & drug screen
- Experience operating a mixer truck preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Strong focus on safety and customer service
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime or Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load and unload concrete materials at plants and job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Adjust truck controls to maintain proper mix and slump during delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites
- Maintain accurate delivery tickets and documentation
- Clean mixer drum and truck after each load
- Report mechanical issues and follow company safety procedures
- Work with dispatch to meet daily delivery schedule
