About The Position

American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking a for a Full-time experienced Semi Tractor Trailer Driver & Furniture Mover with a CDL driver license for our location in Henderson, NV. CDL drivers get $2,500 Signing Bonus (paid quarterly for one year) PLEASE APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE a CDL driver’s license. Must have experience driving a Semi tractor trailer and a 26-feet box trucks. Applicants that doesn’t meet requirements will be rejected. Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) qualifications requirements -English Language Proficiency Under 49 CFR 391.11. Resumes must be well-completed, up to date, formatted. DOT card need it or able to obtain the card prior to hiring. Clean background and driving records. Able to pass DOT Physical test, which includes but is not limited to pre-employment Drug Testing (12 panels). BASIC FUNCTION: To complete assigned deliveries and pick- up of merchandise and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and comprehend English
Customer relations and customer service skills
Ability to lift to 75 pounds, climb stairs, bend and be physically active for extended periods
Ability to use basic tools such as screw drivers, cordless drills etc.…
Math aptitude, organization and reading skills
Prior driving/moving experience helpful.
Valid driver’s license- must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
Pass dot physical.

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicle in a courteous and professional manner
Comply with traffic and DOT laws & regulations
Protect product utilizing materials such as Furniture pads and other materials supplied by AFR
Deliver, Install, & Pick up merchandise from warehouse/ vendors/ customers in a timely manner withattention to detail.
Read, comprehend and complete all paperwork associated with the job
Complete Pre/Post Trip inspections to ensure delivery vehicles are in good working condition.
Ensure customer messages/ communications are relayed to appropriate management.
Assist with other tasks within the warehouse to include lifting and carrying cartons or Furniture as directed
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintain a tool kit that is provided by AFR.
Be available to work flexible shifts without an end time.
Receive a floorplan and instruct and execute the delivery with other helpers.
Record and report start and end time at each stop for productivity purposes
Wipe down & touch up furniture as needed at each delivery
Keep truck organized by properly storing equipment and folding furniture pads
Direct helper as needed to ensure team is providing unparalleled customer service
