The Delivery Merchandiser – Small Store Relief CDL is a touch freight position responsible for delivering and rotating stock. This role also involves merchandising shelves, racks, equipment, and displays to Company standards. A high degree of flexibility is required to cover open needs of the driver team. The individual will transport and unload products to retail outlets, merchandise all product inside the outlet to Company standards, and work in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success. Key responsibilities include establishing positive relationships with customers, providing superior customer service, and offering feedback to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities. The position requires setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays, communicating store level issues to management, complying with DOT rules, maintaining customer rapport, and accurately accounting for all cases and customer transactions. Ensuring proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily is essential, along with maintaining organized backstock and keeping coolers, racks, and shelves clean. The role also assists with training, coaching, and succession planning for delivery merchandiser trainees and building strong relationships with the customer base.
