About The Position

The CDL Driver is responsible for transporting materials and equipment to and from well-site locations across multiple states. This role focuses on optimizing the organization's efficiency by achieving daily and weekly delivery goals, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining safety standards during operations.

Requirements

  • Three to five (3-5) years of commercial driving experience preferred.
  • One to two (1-2) years of commercial driving experience and certification from an accredited commercial driving school.
  • One (1) or more years of experience operating a forklift.
  • Possess and maintain a valid CDL, Class A license.
  • Experience hauling oversize and overweight loads.
  • Experience operating oilfield winch trucks and trailers.
  • Willingness to stay on the road multiple days at a time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, pull, lift, carry, and push equipment/tools weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Ability to read and write in the English language.
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems, DOT regulations, inspection, and maintenance practices.
  • Meet medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
  • Pass a drug test and alcohol test as required by DOT regulation.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive truck to and from designated destinations.
  • Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips.
  • Check shipping papers to determine the nature of the load and verify for accuracy.
  • Operate equipment in all types of weather and conditions, including maneuvering in tight areas.
  • May be responsible for unloading materials and equipment from the truck utilizing a forklift.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, and read maps and road signs.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and highway safety hazards involving drivers or company equipment.
  • Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, or traffic conditions.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's record of duty status and mileage records.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
