About The Position

The role requires adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods. Key responsibilities include verifying the load and inspecting both the tractor and trailer before departure, maintaining communication with supervisors regarding delivery instructions and any mechanical issues, and performing emergency roadside repairs when necessary. The driver is also responsible for maintaining accurate driver logs in compliance with D.O.T. regulations, loading or unloading the truck as needed, and following the company's attendance and safety policies. The position demands a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
