About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and professional CDL Bus Driver to operate our Blue Bird shuttle bus, transporting hotel guests between our lodge and Denali National Park. This role is essential in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming experience for visitors exploring one of Alaska’s most iconic destinations. Experience the Endless Summer of Alaska at Denali Park Village Hotel! Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks—this breathtaking area offers daily bus services along the park road throughout the warm summer months, providing opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, climbing, and camping. Located just 7 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, the Denali Park Village Hotel operates from May to September. Our guests enjoy comfortable accommodations, exceptional dining options, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting. Position Details: This exciting seasonal role is available from May 7, to September 17, 2026. Requirements

  • One year experience as a CDL driver
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Must possess a valid CDL A or B with passenger endorsement
  • Minimum of 23 years of age
  • No suspension of driving privileges for moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Blue Bird bus to transport guests between the lodge and Denali National Park.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with boarding, and answering basic questions about the shuttle schedule or local area.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure proper operation and cleanliness.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts as required.
  • Communicate promptly with lodge staff regarding schedule changes, delays, or guest needs.
  • Assist guests with luggage or mobility needs when necessary.
  • Represent the lodge with professionalism and hospitality at all times.
