CDL Driver - Class A
About The Position
Maine Oxy has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Regional Delivery Driver – Class A CDL with a Hazmat Endorsement in the Baltimore, MD area. Home on the weekends! This position is responsible for driving a tractor trailer loaded with Helium compressed gas cylinders to deliver to customers on scheduled route. Associate will work on a 60hr / 7-day schedule. A typical work week is Monday – Friday (but may include weekends during peak season). This position will include overnighting for 2-3 nights per month depending on the delivery area being covered. Hotels provided.
Requirements
- CDL A License with HazMat
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
- Clean riving record; No accidents/violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift 25lbs to 75lbs and occasionally lift 76lbs to greater than 100lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Basic communication and customer service skills
- Ability to smell/hear leaking gas from cylinders.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily truck safety checks
- Safely delivers Helium cylinders to customers; returns empty cylinders to fill plant.
- Fill, loading/unloading as needed.
- Complete basic paperwork for deliveries.
- Establishes and maintains good customer relations with customers.
- Identifies customer needs to maintain proper cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
- Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
