About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our Lumber team. This role is essential to delivering materials to customer job sites safely, accurately, and efficiently. Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Proven experience as a commercial truck driver
  • Strong knowledge of DOT and truck-driving regulations
  • Ability to drive long hours and adapt to traffic, weather, and job-site conditions
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Comfortable using electronic equipment (GPS, mobile apps, etc.)
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening
  • Pass a company background check related to safe driving
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver building materials to customer job sites in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate flatbed trucks and safely load/unload materials
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
  • Collect, verify, and follow delivery instructions
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly
