About The Position

As a Truck Driver – Backup and Distribution Support, you are the critical link between our distribution center and store locations. In this role, you will primarily function as a backup driver for over-the-road (OTR) and regional routes, while also supporting distribution center operations.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license required
• Willingness to obtain doubles/triples endorsement
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Flexibility to support both yard operations and route driving as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous yard driving, distribution, or warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-tractor and trailer to cover assigned routes as needed, including filling in for absent or vacationing drivers.
• Drop and hook trailers at distribution centers and store locations.
• Unload freight from trailers and scan cartons with productive pace
• Stack and load boxed merchandise on outbound trailers; stack, wrap, and load pallets
• Perform daily yard operations, including moving trailers, spotting equipment, and managing dock flow within the distribution center yard.
• Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition; report and address any issues.
• Accurately use Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) or paper logs to track hours of service, inspections, stops, and maintenance.
• Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Expect to work 10:00am - 6:30pm in the distribution center. When OTR, evening departures between 3:30pm - 6:00pm
