About The Position

Mentor Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve. The position is for a CDL Driver / Program Assistant, which is a full-time, Monday-Friday day shift opportunity.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• At least 21 years of age
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement - Required
• Clean driving record
• CPR/First Aid certification (as required by state)
• Prior experience driving vans or transporting seniors/disabled persons preferred
• 1+ year experience serving special needs populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients between their homes, day centers, and appointments
• Drive clients and staff to events and outings
• Assist clients with boarding/off-loading safely
• Support day center activities, meals, and care as needed
