The primary function of this position is to deliver building materials and products to and from customer job sites. The role involves various responsibilities including loading, delivering, and unloading company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices, which includes lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials. Additionally, the position requires preparing customer orders by retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas as per customer invoices. The employee will also operate a fork lift to load, unload, and stock merchandise as needed, while adhering to all approved company policies and procedures. Reporting customer complaints to the Manager, inventorying goods, and notifying the Manager of shortages and needed goods to be ordered are also part of the job. Other related duties may be assigned, including the removal and shoveling of snow from material piles and the yard during winter months.
