For more information, visit us at cornestonebuildingbrands.com.JOB DETAILSBase pay rate is $25.00 - $27.00 per hourShift: Full-Time, Day Shift The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a box truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vehiclesResponsible for delivering the correct product to our customers and completing all required paperwork accuratelyMakes inspection of vehicles as required by company policy and law to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate and has ample quantities of fuel, oil, and waterComplies with all regulations, rules, and company procedures while performing job dutiesReports all road hazards observed in the routeMake delivery or pickup freight in, route, obtaining signed receipts, collecting, and signing for freight as instructed. This includes tailgating finished goods manufactured by Cascade Windows ensuring accurate product count and loading and securing return merchandise when authorizedImmediately, reports all accidents and/or injuries including, DOT roadside inspections, in which involved, regardless of the extent of damage or injuryAt the end of each trip, reports the condition of the equipment used and submits paperwork dailyPlans trips/reads mapsDetermines shortest and safest route for delivering loads according to trip Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection in accordance with DOT regulations (FMCR)Ensures trip paperwork, permit book, accident kit, load, and safety equipment are in order before departing. Reports discrepancies to a dispatcherInteracts courteously and professionally with dispatcher, company (shipping, customer service, and transportation) staff, and customersCompletes delivery tickets, including obtaining customer signatures and annotating all discrepanciesNotifies customer service, at the plant for which you are delivering, of any issues relative to customers' ordersUnderstands and complies with state and federal regulations and company policiesCompletes trip record, recording odometer readings at each state border and at last delivery and all pick-upsCompletes Driver Daily Logs always ensuring that these records are up to date to the last change of duty statusIncludes other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Shipping Manager

Requirements

  • Valid class B driver's license preferred
  • Clean driving record and a minimum of 2 years of delivery driver experience
  • Must be DOT compliant
  • Experience reading maps and using electronic GPS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English language (Strongly Preferred)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of manual labor, commercial driving and manual transmission preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles

  • Complies with all regulations, rules, and company procedures while performing job duties
  • Reports all road hazards observed in the route
  • Make delivery or pickup freight in, route, obtaining signed receipts, collecting, and signing for freight as instructed. This includes tailgating finished goods manufactured by Cascade Windows ensuring accurate product count and loading and securing return merchandise when authorized
  • Immediately, reports all accidents and/or injuries including, DOT roadside inspections, in which involved, regardless of the extent of damage or injury
  • At the end of each trip, reports the condition of the equipment used and submits paperwork daily
  • Plans trips/reads maps
  • Determines shortest and safest route for delivering loads according to trip
  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection in accordance with DOT regulations (FMCR)
  • Ensures trip paperwork, permit book, accident kit, load, and safety equipment are in order before departing. Reports discrepancies to a dispatcher
  • Interacts courteously and professionally with dispatcher, company (shipping, customer service, and transportation) staff, and customers
  • Completes delivery tickets, including obtaining customer signatures and annotating all discrepancies
  • Notifies customer service, at the plant for which you are delivering, of any issues relative to customers' orders
  • Understands and complies with state and federal regulations and company policies
  • Completes trip record, recording odometer readings at each state border and at last delivery and all pick-ups
  • Completes Driver Daily Logs always ensuring that these records are up to date to the last change of duty status
  • Includes other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Shipping Manager
