About The Position

As our CDL Class A Yard Jockey & Tanker Shuttle Driver, you’ll keep our operations moving by positioning tankers and trailers at our 7300 location, shuttling product between 7300 and MK West, and stepping in as a relief driver when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A CDL and current DOT physical certification; HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required.
  • Acceptable driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Forklift operation ability (previous experience preferred).
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills; able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficiency Current CDL License

Responsibilities

  • Position tankers and trailers using a yard horse at the 7300 site, including washing and weighing as required.
  • Complete product runs between 7300 and MK West as needed.
  • Execute daily computer transactions to maintain visibility and accuracy in the Prism system.
  • Cover for vacations by making assigned deliveries in a straight truck, tractor-trailer, or tanker.
  • Conduct daily inspections of your assigned unit and report any repair needs, including items in the personal safety kit.
  • Follow all relevant SOPs and complete other duties as assigned while upholding Hydrite’s Standards of Excellence.
  • Report food safety problems to your supervisor or the SQF Practitioner whenever you observe a known or potential issue.
  • Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety, and process training; remain RCRA compliant.
  • Provide back-up support across plant, warehouse, or driver roles as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with teammates to balance workloads and support effective cross-department communication to ensure branch success.
