Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate
  • Ability to pass a DOT drug/alcohol test and background/MVR check.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrated commitment to defensive driving and safe work practices
  • Strong verbal communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers and customers
  • A track record of safe driving and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive Worthington commercial vehicles exhibiting defensive driving principles
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and Worthington policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) in all aspects of daily task
  • Perform all tasks required in loading but not limited to product transfer, quality analysis, quality documentation and customer certificate analysis
  • Perform all tasks required in customer delivery including but not limited to product transfer, customer quality testing, dynamic risk assessment of delivery area and customer interface.
  • Participate in regulatory, Worthington or site specific training
  • Report any incident involving equipment damage, near miss, first aid or medical treatment to supervisor
  • Participate in monthly driver meetings
  • Daily completion and submission of written log book, paperwork and any other administrative tasks
  • Regular daily communication with Worthington Supervisor
  • Report deficiencies in Worthington transport equipment, at risk customer locations and customer tank deficiencies including required documentation
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times
