Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Truck Driver to join our team at our wild bird seed production facility. This role involves transporting materials and finished products to and from our Warehouse and Production facilities in Fargo, ND, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL (Class A) license and clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a local delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial truck (CDL required) to deliver raw materials and finished products within designated local routes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Safely load and unload cargo, securing loads to prevent damage during transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products, minimizing delays and optimizing routes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the truck and equipment.
  • Assist in the Warehouse during downtime of deliveries.
  • Participate in training programs and safety meetings as required.
