About The Position

The CDL Class A Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in the food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to customers. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
• Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
• Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems (e.g., PeopleNet)
• Experience with hand-held point of delivery scanning systems (e.g., POD)
• Customer service-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes for food delivery.
• Perform safety checks and inspections of the vehicle according to DOT regulations.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route schedule.
• Unload products and transport them into designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain signatures.
• Collect payments where required and handle customer returns.
• Complete daily records of hours of service and maintain accurate paperwork.
