This role is critical to supporting daily operations by ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transit for employees. The Driver upholds the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and service, contributing to a positive and dependable transportation experience.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement required.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Previous professional driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts roadways and traffic laws.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and assist passengers as needed, including lifting up to 25–50 lbs if required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 41-passenger bus in full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements.
• Provide consistent, scheduled transportation primarily between the hotel property and employee housing locations.
• Ensure timely arrivals and departures while maintaining a strong focus on passenger safety and comfort.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, inspection reports, and all required documentation.
• Provide courteous, professional service to all passengers, fostering a respectful and positive environment.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Monitor road, traffic, and weather conditions and adjust driving practices to ensure safe operation at all times.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding schedules, delays, incidents, or route changes.
• Report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or accidents promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of the vehicle, ensuring a safe and presentable environment.
• Support operational needs by assisting with additional transportation requests within Massachusetts as required.
