CDL A Truck Driver
About The Position
This is a Midwest regional position with Express Trucking Group for CDL A truck drivers based in Dayton, OH. The role offers steady miles, predictable dispatch, and weekly home time. Drivers will operate throughout the Midwest, moving primarily dry van freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations. Loads are often preloaded and involve drop and hook, ensuring efficiency and minimizing delays. The position is designed for drivers seeking consistent routes and dependable weekly income without extended periods away from home. Drivers will be paid between $1,200 and $1,350 per week, depending on route, miles, and workload. The schedule includes a weekly 34-hour reset for home time. Drivers will operate newer model sleeper trucks equipped with automatic transmissions and standard comfort features, with regular maintenance provided to ensure reliability.
Requirements
- Must have Class A CDL
- Must have tractor-trailer experience
- Must meet DOT requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass background and drug test
Responsibilities
- Run throughout the Midwest with freight moving between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations
- Handle primarily dry van loads with no-touch handling
- Manage preloaded and drop and hook loads to reduce delays and maintain movement
