About The Position

Highway Express is hiring a CDL A truck driver for a regional fleet operating primarily east of I-35. This position is structured to provide consistent mileage flow, reduced dock time, and dependable dispatch coordination. Drivers operate within a defined regional footprint and return home every other week for scheduled time off. All dispatched miles are compensated, including loaded and empty movements. The fleet equipment includes Kenworth T-680 automatic tractors with APU, inverter, refrigerator, and Bluetooth capability, as well as outward-facing cameras and SmartTruck UT6 aerodynamic-equipped reefer trailers. Assigned equipment may be parked at home when secure parking is available, and equipment assignments are maintained for consistency. Preventative maintenance scheduling helps maintain reliability across the fleet. The freight consists of temperature-controlled shipments with a combination of drop and hook and scheduled live load appointments. The no-touch structure reduces handling requirements, allowing drivers to focus on efficient operation within regional lanes primarily running east of I-35 with organized dispatch planning.

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL required
• Ability to safely operate refrigerated equipment and comply with applicable safety regulations and DOT requirements
