CDL A Truck Driver
About The Position
This CDL-A Truck Driver position operates within a Midwest regional automotive freight network, offering consistent miles and scheduled home time. The role involves no-touch automotive freight, primarily drop & hook operations. Drivers can expect to be home every 7-10 days and earn a weekly pay of $1,300 to $1,500, plus a monthly safety bonus of $750. The position is based out of Birmingham, AL, and focuses on maintaining consistent freight flow through established lanes, ensuring steady mileage and predictable weekly scheduling. Drivers will typically cruise 2,500-3,000 miles each week with an average length of haul of 500 miles. The company values work-life balance, with drivers spending 7-10 days on the road followed by a 34-48 hour reset at home. The fleet consists mostly of Peterbilt 579s and other well-maintained rigs, all equipped with inverters and fridges for driver comfort.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- Current DOT medical card
- At least 3 months of experience in the last 12 months or 1 year in the last 3 years
- Minimum of three months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past year
