About The Position

SodStar Transportation provides world class freight delivery to every customer, big or small. SodStar is currently seeking to hire a full time CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team!

Requirements

• Valid Class A Endorsement and DOT Medical Certification
• Previous Class A driving experience (minimum of 2 years)
• Flatbed experience (minimum of 1 year)
• Clean driving record
• Moderate mechanical skills and ability to maintain tractor-trailer and minor farm equipment preferred.
• The use of your personal cell phone is required for this position and will be partially reimbursed on a stipend basis.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Previous experience operating farm equipment

Responsibilities

• Local routes
• Shifts vary, must be willing to start work early AM
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Ability to pull a flatbed (deliveries are primarily sod, fertilizer, block, precast concrete)
• Ability to secure loads by hand
• Ability to use lumber tarps
• Must be able to operate a tablet for routing/GPS purposes
• Ability and willingness to mow and/or run Harvest equipment with the flow of business preferred.
• Ability to accommodate occasional extended routes and/or overnight stays as requested.
