Highway Express is hiring a CDL A truck driver for a regional fleet operating primarily east of I-35. This position is structured to provide consistent mileage flow, reduced dock time, and dependable dispatch coordination. Drivers operate within a defined regional footprint and return home every other week for scheduled time off. All dispatched miles are compensated, including loaded and empty movements. Fleet Equipment Kenworth T-680 automatic tractors APU, inverter, refrigerator, and Bluetooth capability Outward-facing cameras only SmartTruck UT6 aerodynamic-equipped reefer trailers Assigned equipment may be parked at home when secure parking is available Equipment assignments are maintained to support consistency and familiarity with each unit. Preventative maintenance scheduling helps maintain reliability across the fleet. Freight Profile Freight consists of temperature-controlled shipments with a combination of drop and hook and scheduled live load appointments. The no-touch structure reduces handling requirements and allows drivers to focus on efficient operation. Regional lanes primarily run east of I-35 with organized dispatch planning. Compensation Drivers earn $1,320 to $1,520 per week with payment issued for all miles dispatched. Consistent freight movement supports predictable weekly earnings. This regional operation is designed to maintain steady routing cycles rather than irregular long-haul patterns. Company-paid orientation is provided, including orientation pay. After onboarding, drivers are placed into established freight rotations within the regional network. Benefits Medical and vision plan options become available after 90 days of employment. Prescription coverage and life insurance options are included. Paid time off begins after one year of service, and holiday compensation starts after 90 days. A 401(k) retirement savings plan becomes available after one year. Rider and pet accommodations are offered. Qualifications Current Class A CDL required. Ability to safely operate refrigerated equipment and comply with applicable safety regulations and DOT requirements.
