About The Position

JGM's Transportation Division plays a vital role in delivering fast-track construction solutions to industrial clients across the nation—especially those with urgent timelines, emergency projects, or critical plant shutdowns. That's why we're looking for the best of the best: skilled Heavy Haul Truck Drivers who can deliver our products safely, on time, and every time. As a Heavy Haul Truck Driver at JGM, you will play a critical role in transporting fabricated structural steel, heavy equipment, and large machinery to project sites across the country. You'll be responsible for safely hauling standard, oversized, and super loads—locally and over-the-road—while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements

CDL - Class A (Required)
Valid Driver's License (Required)
Experience with over-dimensional and oversized hauling strongly preferred.
Skilled in securing diverse cargo including steel structures, large weldments, heavy equipment, and machinery.
Willingness to travel as needed for job requirements.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using electronic tools and systems (GPS, AVL, CB radios, etc.).
Deep understanding of applicable truck driving rules and safety regulations.
Clean driving record with no recent violations.
Able to handle unpredictable scenarios (traffic, weather, mechanical issues) with professionalism and foresight.
Willing to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and provide references upon request.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 5 years of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport standard and over-dimensional loads of structural steel, heavy equipment, and large machinery (up to 200,000 lbs).
Handle Super Loads and oversized hauls across both local and long-distance routes.
Operate a range of hauling equipment including flatbeds, step decks, double drops, Landoll, and stretch trailers.
Review all routing details, schedules, permits, and bills of lading (BOL) for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain up-to-date electronic logs and perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
Promptly report any vehicle or trailer maintenance issues to the Fleet Manager.
Collaborate with the Transportation Manager to plan and execute transport solutions for upcoming projects.
Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and JGM safety policies.
Represent JGM with professionalism at all times, maintaining a clean and presentable appearance.
Communicate courteously with clients, vendors, and internal team members.
