About The Position
Albany Trucking values driver time off, offering home time every weekend for 2 days. Primary routes are in the Northeast and Midwest, with potential for broader travel. The position offers a competitive compensation package of $1,500 to $1,700 per week, with drivers typically averaging 2,087 miles weekly, and top performers reaching 2,697 miles. The modern fleet consists primarily of 2021-2024 Peterbilt 579 Ultralofts and some KW T680s, all equipped with APUs (ThermoKing or Carrier), refrigerators, and power inverters. Trucks are speed-limited to 70 mph and feature outward-facing cameras. Freight is no-touch and assignments are structured for a consistent weekly cycle with minimal route variation. Orientation is 3 days, with classes starting Monday or Wednesday, and includes transportation, a single-person hotel room, lunches, and $375 pay.
