About The Position

Join Pitney Bowes for a CDL A Truck Driver IV – Floater, 1st Shift in the Hartford, Connecticut Presort Services facility. Your hourly pay range will be $29.50 paid weekly with the possibility of overtime. As a 1st Shift Floater, your schedule will be covering time off and open routes. Start times range from as early as 9:30AM to as late as 7:00 PM EST. Your work hours will vary between the 1st and 2nd shifts on a weekly basis. You will work weekends when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years in age.
• Valid Class A License and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL.
• Minimum of 6 months’ verifiable driving experience driving a tractor trailer (semi) truck with safe driving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop and bend with or without accommodation.
• Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned vehicles by Pitney Bowes pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily.
• Report any defective findings in Samsara and to the Transportation Manager to be fixed immediately.
• Maintain a daily driver’s log or route sheet for mileage, stops and cargo, or utilization of ELD system.
• Maintain pickup and delivery schedules meeting deadlines utilizing software tools.
• Know and understand safety and security precautions and follow company policies and keep vehicle clean.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Use all required cell phone applications.
