About The Position

The CDL A Transport Driver is responsible for operating a double or triple tractor-trailer to deliver products or assets safely and timely to customers, warehouses, and distributors according to a delivery route schedule determined by the supervisor. The role requires demonstrating high standards of customer service and effective communication with peers and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 or more years of experience driving a tractor trailer, straight truck, or double/triple trailer within the last 5 years preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.
• Valid Class A CDL; double/triple endorsement; license or operator's permit for at least the three years immediately prior to application.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies adhering to all safety practices.
• Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations in a safe and timely manner.
• Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns.
• Load and unload product as required at designated stops, which may include stocking and ordering of product.
• Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers, reporting any problems to the driver supervisor or manager.
• Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day, maintaining all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines.
• Perform load inventory and document the condition of freight before departure.
• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions.
• Use company-supported applications or systems properly.
• Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals.
