Requirements

Valid CDL Class A with tanker endorsement
Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (tanker or liquid hauling preferred)
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and strong safety history
Working knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS, and ELD systems
Ability to safely operate tanker equipment, including understanding load dynamics and surge
Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screenings (pre-employment, random, post-accident)
Ability to pass DOT Physical.
At least 20/40 vision in each eye (corrected or uncorrected) with 70-degree field of vision in each eye.
Ability to distinguish signals on traffic signals.
Ability to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet (with or without hearing aids).
Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times a day.
Capable of sitting, standing, walking, and crouching for long periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (hoses, fittings, and equipment).
Able to maneuver liquid-filled tanker, which has a shifting center of gravity.
Able to handle sudden stops, turns, and changing road conditions.
Familiar with braking techniques for tankers (to prevent sloshing).
Understanding of load dynamics and properly securing and inspecting vehicle/equipment.
Capable of driving for long hours while maintaining focus.
Must comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to prevent fatigue.
Able to react quickly to hazardous road conditions.
Familiar with emergency shutdown procedures for leaks or spills.
