As a Class A Route Driver, you will be going out to main stores to pick up their used tires. You will be going out with a Route Helper, a team of 2. Both of you are responsible for manually loading and stacking these used tires onto the back of the trucks. Each tire can weigh up to 50 lbs. As a Class A Route Driver, you will be the main point of contact when servicing customers, for example obtaining signatures for the loads you are picking up.

Requirements

  • Must meet all FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
  • 22 years of age with Class A CDL
  • Must have and maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT
  • Must pass post-offer background, DOT physical and drug test
  • Must be willing to always be professional at our tire stores
  • Doubles/triples endorsement; required
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent Class A CDL driving experience

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to pick up and deliver pre-loaded trailers (drops) to designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution to prevent shifting during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and other team members to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to pick-ups, deliveries, and hours of service.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues or concerns to management.
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods on time and in good condition.
