The CDL A Local Driver position involves transporting, loading, and unloading freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner between our Service Centers and our customers. The role requires performing pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer, properly documenting all freight control processes, and maintaining the cleanliness of the company vehicle. Drivers will also assist customers in preparing shipping papers and safely operate a forklift when needed. The position may require availability for irregular work schedules and adherence to operational procedures outlined in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
