About The Position

This position is for Midwest Motor Express (MME), a sister company of AAA Cooper Transportation (ACT). Together through an extended network, we offer a wide range of employment opportunities. This is an overnight position for a Class A CDL Linehaul Driver in West Burlington, IA. Midwest Motor Express (MME) is immediately hiring CDL Class A truck drivers to join the team at our West Burlington, IA Service Center. Linehaul truck drivers are the backbone of MME's growing network, ensuring the seamless flow of freight between our service centers. You'll play a crucial role in safely and efficiently moving freight between various service centers within our internal network, while enjoying consistent routes, competitive pay, and frequent home time.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Endorsements: HazMat, Doubles/Triples
• One year of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record reflecting less than two moving violations in the past 3 years
• Complete all onboarding requirements
• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned tractor-trailer or straight trucks to transport freight between designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately record driving hours and activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, service center personnel, and customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
