CDL-A Linehaul Driver – Drop & Hook
About The Position
Join Oak Harbor Freight Lines, a company with a 107-year legacy, as a local & regional line driver. This role involves safely operating tractor-trailer combinations for drop & hook freight between terminals or meet points across WA, OR, ID, NV, UT, AZ, & CA. Drivers are compensated competitively per mile, including for drops, hooks, chains, fuel stops, and wait time. The position offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K matching, accrued PTO, holiday pay, and a cell phone stipend. Most routes allow drivers to be home nightly, and the freight is no-touch.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements
- One year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment
- Chaining is required, training available.
- Valid DOT Medical Certification
- Clean driving record – no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past three years
- Strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
- Basic proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication
Nice To Haves
- Experience with double/triples preferred; training provided.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
- Navigate challenging road conditions, including inclement weather.
- Consistently meet reliability and safety standards.
- Be prepared to chain up as needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or nights if required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Experienced drivers can start at.76 per mile /$32.64 an hour.
