About The Position

As a driver with Hauling Services, you leverage your CDL-A license and heavy equipment expertise in a dynamic role. As the face of our company, you will operate various trucks and equipment, maintain our facilities, and ensure professional deliveries while providing a great customer experience. Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Valid and current CDL-A license with air brake endorsement
  • Ability to pass our pre-employment drug screening and background check, including motor vehicle reporting
  • DOT & Safety Compliance:
  • Comply with all Federal, DOT, OSHA, PPE, and company safety standards
  • Willingness to undergo random drug screenings
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat and cold)
  • Ability to work for an annual average of 45 hours per week
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and accurately follow instructions
  • Professional, well-kept appearance with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with digital tools, POS systems, and delivery recordkeeping
  • Problem-solving mindset with creative thinking to meet client needs
  • Strong customer service orientation: treating each delivery as both an operational task and a sales opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Deliver & Retrieve Materials: Safely transport and retrieve bulk materials, aggregates, and debris across customer jobsites and customer locations using multiple vehicles (hooklift truck, dump truck, F550, etc.).
  • Operate Equipment: Use skid steers, dingos, loader, and other machinery to load, unload, and move materials. Assist with standard maintenance checks and support general shop upkeep to keep all vehicles and equipment in professional working order.
  • Customer Experience & Sales Support: Act as a front-line representative of Hauling Services. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude, build rapport with clients, answer questions, help troubleshoot issues, and assist with point-of-sale transactions at the time of delivery.
  • Debris Sorting & Composting: Sort retrieved debris into synthetics, compostables, dirt, and reusable rock. Offer continued support with screening of materials (training provided).
  • Vendor Pickups: Collect materials from local vendors and quarries.
  • Yard & Shop Presentation: Help keep the bulk yard, shop, and equipment areas clean, organized, and professional in appearance.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and hauls using company software and digital platforms.
