About The Position
Flatbed drivers near Coosada, AL can apply for a regional position hauling steel pipe and flat steel. Drivers run consistent freight lanes and return home weekends. Freight & Schedule Drivers in this position haul structural steel products using flatbed trailers. Freight moves through nearby states with steady volume and predictable dispatch. Typical drivers run 2,300–2,800 miles weekly, and about 40–50% of loads require tarping. Driver Pay 27% of load revenue Weekly earnings averaging $1,500–$2,000 $40 tarp pay $50 layover pay $16 detention pay $300 weekly per diem Equipment Assigned automatic trucks including Cascadia and T680 tractors. Requirements
- Age 22+
- 12 months flatbed experience within last 5 years
- Experience hauling steel freight
- Must be comfortable using chains, straps, and tarps
- Clean Clearinghouse record
- Must pass DOT drug screen
