The company’s commitment to finding new and better ways to RECLAIM, RECYCLE and REUSE bridges the sustainability goals of scrap tire generators nationwide with those of local scrap rubber consumers.   All American Tire Recycling a Liberty Tire Recycling company has an opening for a Class A CDL Drop & Hook Driver.  Routes are assigned by dispatch; however, it is the responsibility of the driver to successfully manage the transportation of waste tires to and from the home facility. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site. Drivers may at times be responsible for transporting monies received at collection sites from customers who are on a cash only basis.

Requirements

  • Requires 1-year minimum FMCSA commercial driving experience.
  • Must be 22 years of age or older
  • Requires a Class A CDL with no manual restriction.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
  • Work independently with general instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Must meet all FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
  • Knowledge and understanding of navigating with local maps.
  • Manage and supervise additional employees (driver helpers) that are assigned to the route.
  • Maintain a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to dispatch through the successful completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety standards.
  • Other duties will be assigned as necessary by the company.
  • Driver must comply with all of FMCSA regulations at all times during their employment.
