About The Position

A Transport Driver is responsible for hauling our product from our terminals to Suit-Kote locations in a safe and timely manner while abiding State and Federal Motor Carrier Laws. Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit-Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others. Responsibilities/Job Duties: Deliver oils and emulsions to job sites or between facilities Operator equipment in a safe manner Maintain truck log in according to state and federal regulations Maintenance tasks and mechanical duties (pumps, gauges, valves, etc.) along with activities in elevated heights. Truck loading and unloading Required Skills/Abilities: Valid Commercial Drivers License Tanker endorsement Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated Reliable transportation to and from work site Strong work ethic Strong math skills Physical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted Consent to a DMV license evaluation Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present Position requires working in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. Must be physically adept to climb a ladder, in/out of truck, and tolerate heights of up to 12 feet, have good balance, bend, stretch, lift, stoop, kneel, squat and crawl. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. Other Preferred Qualities: Valid DOT Medical card. Ability to read and understand SDS Hazmat endorsement a plus Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.
