About The Position

As a Driver at United Rentals, the goal is to transport Mobile Storage equipment safely and perform jobsite work such as block, level, and skirt. The driver will collaborate with operations personnel to ensure all work adheres to company standards and will be responsible for following all safety guidelines at the branch, on the road, or at the customer site, as well as complying with all FMCSA rules and regulations. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
Diligent attention to safety
Limited amount of overnight travel
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
Prepare truck, tools, & supplies for scheduled work orders
Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
Other duties assigned as needed
