CDL A Local Driver - Council Bluffs
About The Position
Building Products Inc. (BPI) is seeking a CDL A driver for structured routes with consistent daily home time. The role involves independent driving, building friendly relationships with customers, and ensuring accurate deliveries with a positive attitude. Drivers are expected to prioritize safety and become skilled at operating a tractor-trailer truck over long distances while representing BPI. BPI is a third-generation family and veteran-owned organization in the distribution and manufacturing of building materials and millwork, focused on inspiring solutions and driven by core values of Leadership, Accountability, Integrity, and Teamwork. Requirements
- A valid Class-A CDL license is required
- Understand safety requirements in every stage of your day
- Be able to frequently lift 50 lbs
- Climb in and out of a semi-tractor/trailer up to 20 times a day
- Requires full use of arms and shoulders to open the trailer curtains
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with taking pictures and getting signatures to complete delivery
- Log information daily of the trips and weight of load
- Clean your truck and equipment to keep in good working order
- Be aware of road conditions and traffic for safe trips
