About The Position

The CDL Driver II will operate walking floor trailers and single-frame roll off trailers while transporting non-hazardous materials within Alabama and nearby regional areas. This is a local home-daily driving role based out of the Birmingham facility. Drivers must be able to safely operate a manual-transmission commercial vehicle.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid CDL Class A.
• Experience operating walking floor trailers.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work Monday through Saturday.

Nice To Haves

• Tanker endorsement preferred, not required.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred, not required.
• Experience with regional and local hauling.
• Experience with roll off equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate walking floor trailers and roll off trailers to transport non-hazardous materials.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety procedures.
• Complete all required transportation and equipment-related paperwork.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding daily instructions, schedule updates, and any possible delays.
• Support facility needs by running routes assigned based on the day’s workload.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
