About The Position

Great opportunity for a CDL A Driver & Shop Assistant at Kenworth of South Florida in Ft. Pierce. This role is responsible for test driving trucks serviced by our technicians. The ideal candidate will have a some mechanical aptitude (or prior technician experience) and be comfortable communicating mechanical information to the technicians about the vehicles. This position requires operating a manual transmission/stick shift on a daily basis.
Compensation: $20-24 per hour, full time Monday - Friday.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid CDL A or B Driver’s License with manual endorsement
• Must have a clean driving record
• 2+ years of delivery/driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Current DOT medical card
• Work Authorization
• Vermeer All Roads does not provide H1-B sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Communicate effectively with technicians about mechanical issues
• Provide accurate service to customers with pick up and deliveries as needed
• General shop assistance, clean up as needed
• Remain alert while operating the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with employees and customers
• All other duties as assigned.
