About The Position

As a CDL Driver with Colony Hardware, you will be the backbone of our company who make our mission to provide top quality products to commercial contractors and industrial accounts come alive. To do this, you will utilize your eagerness to do what’s expected to ensure that our customers are getting what they need, when they need it!

Requirements

• A Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with a valid and active DOT medical card.
• A valid driver’s license with a sustained record of safe driving.
• A minimum of 3+ years of prior driving experience and deliveries.
• Experience driving flatbeds with moffett or piggyback experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a 24' flatbed truck with moffett to deliver various lengths/sizes of steel reinforcement bar (rebar), often to customer construction sites.
• Responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
• Load your truck via forklift or by hand and secure it with strapping to ensure safe delivery to customer jobsites.
• Safely operate a truck-mounted forklift (moffett) if needed to load/unload building supplies and materials, such as rebar, erosion control items, and more.
• Perform your pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
• Check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.
• Assist as needed in the warehouse when not driving.
