CDL A Driver
About The Position
Hardwood Industries, Inc. is an established, value added wholesaler and distributor of quality hardwood lumber and related products. Specific qualifications / duties include: Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner, you are the face of our company Conducting a safe work zone during each pickup and drop location Adhering to assigned delivery schedule Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery THIS POSITION DOES NOT REQUIRE OVER THE ROAD TRAVEL The schedule does reflect 1-2 trips into Eastern Washington per month that are over night stays with lodging provided at area hotels. Must be able to lift 30-100 pounds, not all customers will have a forklift or a lifting hand Occasional loading and unloading of trailers with a hyster at our branch locations or locally at our yard Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required Candidates should live within the Portland Oregon Metro area or Willamette Valley corridor. Candidates should also have dependable means of transportation to and from work.
Requirements
- Ability to work Monday – Friday
- Must have your CDL A License
- Ability to come to work and perform duties during adverse weather conditions such as snow and ice.
