About The Position

Driving to various stores across New England Communicating and coordinating with deliveries with the Distribution Center Manager Obeying and following applicable traffic laws Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules Complying with truck driving rules and regulations Reporting defects, accidents and violations Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts, pallet jacks as well as by hand Interacting with customers in a professional manner Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports Recording cargo deliveries Verifying loads for accuracy Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Physical Demands: Exerts 75 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees). Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required
  • Clean driving record required
  • DOT medical card required
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
