About The Position

BLACKHAWK TRANSPORT, a leader in dedicated transportation, is hiring for local and regional opportunities. Company drivers are welcome to apply and can earn up to $89,000 per year. The pay structure includes payment by the mile with additional compensation for intermediate stops and backhaul pick-ups, as well as flat pay for shorter haul loads. There are opportunities for bonuses, including safety, referral, and inspection bonuses. The schedule allows for home daily or weekly, depending on position availability, with local positions using day cabs and regional positions using sleeper cabs, which may require being out for a few nights at a time. Drivers can expect to work 5.5 days per week and need to be flexible with start times, although efforts will be made to keep schedules consistent. The average miles driven per week range from 2,100 to 2,350, with deliveries primarily to the Edwardsville area and surrounding regions. On-time delivery is a must, and 24/7 maintenance support is available. Remote orientation is also offered.

Requirements

• Must have a valid CDL A Driver's license
• Minimum age of 23 years
• At least 12 months of experience driving a tractor trailer with refrigerated trailers
• Good safety record, including PSP
• Must meet or exceed all DOT requirements
