About The Position

As a Driver Mentor at American Transport Team, you will earn for every single mile the truck drives, whether it’s you or your student behind the wheel. This unique compensation structure allows you to maximize your earnings while helping new drivers launch their careers. The position runs an average of 11 days OTR, providing flexibility with breaks and the opportunity to run solo between students. You will also receive paid development training and have access to a structured mentoring program designed for success.

Requirements

• CDL-A License with a clean record required.
• At least 3+ months of driving experience (mentor-eligible).
• Must pass DOT drug screen and background check.
• Professional attitude and ability to coach new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new drivers to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
• Earn pay for all truck miles driven, including those driven by students.
• Participate in the NextGen Mentor Training Program, which includes hotel and meals.
• Utilize an online training checklist to facilitate smoother mentoring.
• Manage student driving schedules to maximize efficiency and safety.

• Weekly base pay ranging from $1,225 to $1,455 before bonuses.
