About The Position

As a Driver Mentor, you’ll earn for every single mile the truck drives — whether it’s you or your student behind the wheel. This position allows you to help new drivers launch their careers while maximizing your earnings. The mentor program runs an average of 11 days OTR, providing flexibility with breaks and the opportunity to run solo between students.

Requirements

• CDL-A License with a clean record.
• At least 3+ months of driving experience (mentor-eligible).
• Must pass DOT drug screen and background check.
• Professional attitude and ability to coach new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new drivers to ensure they are prepared for their careers.
• Drive a truck with students, earning pay for all miles driven.
• Complete paid development training and participate in the NextGen Mentor Training Program.
• Utilize an online training checklist to facilitate smoother mentoring.
• Ensure students meet driving requirements and provide coaching as needed.

Benefits

• Weekly Base Pay: $1,225 – $1,455 (before any bonuses).
• Base CPM + Tiered Pay Scale (experience-based).
• $0.10 CPM while training.
