About The Position

As a Driver Mentor, you’ll earn for every single mile the truck drives — whether it’s you or your student behind the wheel. This position allows you to help new drivers launch their careers while maximizing your earnings. The mentor program runs an average of 11 days OTR, providing flexibility with breaks and the opportunity to run solo between students. You will receive paid development training and have access to a structured system designed to set both mentors and students up for success.

Requirements

• CDL-A License with a clean record.
• At least 3+ months of driving experience (mentor-eligible).
• Must pass DOT drug screen and background check.
• Professional attitude and ability to coach new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Mentor new drivers and help them launch their careers.
• Earn for every mile driven by the truck, whether by you or your student.
• Complete paid development training and participate in the NextGen Mentor Training Program.
• Ensure students drive a minimum of 5 hours per day.
• Maximize the rest of the 14-hour clock for breaks or solo runs.

Benefits

• Weekly Base Pay: $1,225 – $1,455 (before any bonuses).
