Requirements

  • Current and valid Class A CDL commercial license is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
  • Principles and methods for road transportation of vehicles.
  • Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective operations.
  • Customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
  • Machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • The structure and content of the English language, including grammar, composition, and spelling.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper equipment functionality.
  • Applying logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules as project demands.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles, mechanical systems, safety equipment, and emergency gear are in proper working order.
  • Following all safety procedures when operating Car Haulers and securing cargo for transport using ropes, chains, binders, or covers.
  • Inspecting loads to confirm cargo is properly secured and compliant with regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate logs of vehicle service and repair status in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Cleaning, fueling, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients, the public, or stakeholders.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies while operating vehicles and equipment.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.
