About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for a CDL A Driver Hazmat in Freeport, TX! We are looking for you! Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner. Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed. Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor. Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 3+ years experience as driver of tractor-trailer vehicles.
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience preferred.
• Three (3) years of Haz-Mat or Tanker experience.
• Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed and specialty gases, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer to deliver industrial gases to customers or storage sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and address maintenance needs.
• Report accidents, safety issues, citations, and customer complaints immediately.
• Complete required DOT and company reports.
