About The Position

Smithfield Foods is seeking a CDL A Driver for Feed Delivery during night shifts. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.75, with pay by load after training is complete. The role involves completing a driver training program and adhering to safety procedures while delivering feed, loading, and unloading, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare. The driver must comply with all DOT regulations and report any accidents promptly. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Class A CDL.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience required.
• At least 21 years old.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card upon hire.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays).

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete a driver training program.
• Follow required and recommended safety procedures while driving, delivering feed, or loading and unloading.
• Comply with all DOT rules and regulations.
• Report all accidents promptly through proper authorities.
• Comply with all rules set forth by the receiving agent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
