About The Position

A USAL driver / car hauler is responsible for transporting vehicles between manufacturing facilities, shipping ports, rail yards, terminals, and dealerships. The driver / car hauler partners with our operations, safety, and administrative teams to ensure the safe, on-time, legally-compliant, and damage-free delivery of our customers' vehicles.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years of over-the-road experience operating a Class 8 tractor and 41' trailer.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT medical certificate.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Twenty-three (23) years of age.
• Successful pre-employment screening and drug test.
• Successful interview and road test.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Legally able to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• At least two (2) years of auto transport experience with 9-10 car trailer within the past five years.
• Previous experience with flatbed, tanker, or food service deliveries.
• Demonstrated stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles between various locations including manufacturing facilities, shipping ports, rail yards, terminals, and dealerships.
• Ensure safe, on-time, legally-compliant, and damage-free delivery of vehicles.
• Plan travel routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Maintain courteous, professional behavior and a neat appearance.
